Ras Mohammed

The national park “Ras Mohammed” is a thin strip of land at the most southern tip of the Sinai peninsula. Doubtlessly this area is one of the top spots for divers worldwide. Because of its unique geographical position (at this very point the Gulf of Aqaba and the Gulf of Suez meet) the peninsula represents a kind of privileged zone, distinguishing itself from other dive spots by vast water movements, which transport a remarkable quantity of plankton and nutritious elements. This wealth of nourishment is the source for the extraordinary development of hard and soft corals as well as for the development of the pelagic and the reef fauna.

Attracted by the wealth of food, you will indeed find barracudas, tunas and sharks beyond the regular visitors of these waters, which offers you the possibility of extraordinarily interesting dives.

The trips to Ras Mohammed are daily tours with 2 dives. We offer this often in the week. The transfer to the harbout is with a big bus. We will start from the harbour of Sharm el Sheikh. The ride with the boat to the diving spots is about 1 hour.

Ras Ghuzlani     Ras Ghuzlani

A very young dive site, which has been opened for diving only a few years ago, in 2001.Therefore you will find here almost completely intact and undamaged corals and a magnificent underwater scenery. Remarkably huge table corals.
Jackfish Alley     Jackfish Alley

Between a depth of 5 and 9 metres there is a cavern with beautiful reflections of light, falling in from little cracks and crevices in the ceiling. Schools of Jackfish call this dive site their home.

Shark Reef / Yolanda Reef     Shark Reef / Yolanda Reef

This very famous dive site is the culmination of what can be seen in Ras Mohammed. Beside schools of barracudas and batfish you can see the remains of the “Yolanda”, sunken in 1980, and her freight – lavatories, toilets and bath tubs.
Wreck of the Dunraven     Wreck of the Dunraven

Theis wreck is more than 125 years old and was a steam-sailing boat. The wreck is lovely overgrown with soft corals. Also the reef itself is markable. The diving site is located ca. 45 minutes after Ras Mohammed in the gulf of Suez.
